Practice Policies
General Policies:
It is the aim of Tully Family Practice to provide high quality, equitable and accessible healthcare to all members of the community.
Complaints: Our complaints policy is detailed in a separate document. See end of page.
Interactions between staff and patients: Aggression or rudeness towards any members of staff will not be tolerated at any time.
Addictive Medications: It is our practice policy, in accordance with medical guidelines, not to prescribe potentially addictive medications, such as sleeping tablets and opioid based pain killers, on a long term basis.
Appointments policy:
As a practice, we endeavour to see urgent cases on a same or next day basis where possible. For this reason, there will at times be a delay for routine appointments. We are part of the Out of Hours Coop DL Doc/Edoc for circumstances where patients need to see a doctor in the evenings or at weekends. Patients may request to see a particular doctor and this will be accommodated where possible. In the case of an urgent appointment, we suggest you attend whichever doctor is next available.
Processing of health data:
To assist with your care, we at Tully Family Practice need to collect personal data about you. This information will include details of your health and your treatments. We may also need to record additional information that while may not seem to relate directly to your health, would help in our treatment of you. Examples of this kind of information would include things like your age, gender, marital status, number of children you have, your nationality, your employment status, religion, prison sentences. Our policy is only to collect and record information about you that helps in your treatment.
Please see full Data Privacy and Processing statement for more details.
